When I obtained my first PC in 1999, the first internet search I performed was "Mark Frankel". Through that search I found The Official Mark Frankel Fanclub and immediately signed up!
Through the site, lovingly and respectfully generated and maintained by Dinah May, I learned more about Mark and what a great man he was in addition to being a wonderful actor. I have made new and lasting friendships with some awesome people who share in my admiration of Mark. For this alone, I am eternally grateful to Dinah May.
Dinah has a full and busy life with her family and now has THREE beautiful grandchildren who keep her hopping! With serious consideration on both our parts, Dinah has passed The Official Mark Frankel Fanclub and website baton on to me. It is my hope that Dinah will still be able to be involved as time and computer access permits. She is my mentor and she will always be included in this new endeavor! Her faith in me is an honor not taken lightly.
My own personal vow to Mark's family is that I will do all within my power and ability to keep his memory alive!I have had a vision for quite some time of how I would like to "revamp" (Kindred pun) the site and the fan community. I could not have made this vision come to life without the help from a very talented website designer and dear friend of mine, Dayna L. (
http://www.dayagency.com ). Dayna was able to envision and design what I had imagined only in my mind, and even improved upon that vision.
Dayna, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this dream a reality. We are still the same fanclub, but instead of questionnaires and a Yahoo Group list, we are moving forward with our own forum and even a Facebook group! Mark's work lives on, especially through the syndication of "Kindred: The Embraced" and there are new fans discovering him somewhere around the world, everyday. It is my hope that we can all connect with each other here.
